Ticketing Arrangement Automatic Cancellation (TKXL)
Ticketing Arrangement Automatic Cancellation (TKXL) – enhanced validation of the action time. Postponed to July 17th
Overview: A ticketing arrangement element, also referred as TK element, must be included in the PNR to indicate the status of the ticket issuance for all passengers in the PNR. The TK element can be used for instance to indicate that a ticket has been issued (TKOK), for queue placement (TKTL), and for automatic cancellation (TKXL).
When a TKXL is used, the itinerary is automatically cancelled at the date and time specified if the ticket has not been issued by this time.
Until now, the date and time entered in a TKXL needed to be at least 2 hours after the current local time, and could be set up after the time of departure of the first segment in the PNR.
With this enhancement, agents can now enter a TKXL action time which is 5 minutes from the local current time. The maximum limit has also been enhanced and can no longer be later than the departure time of the first air segment in the PNR.

Customer Value: Better management of un-ticketed PNR. |
Impact Customers: Travel agents and airline agents. |
Illustration: TKXL is a PNR element used to schedule an automatic cancellation of itinerary if it is not ticketed. The cancellation happens on a date and time specified in TKXL. Users can now enter a TKXL for current day, and no less than 5 minutes from the current local time (instead of 2 hours before).
If no time is explicitly specified, 00:00 is assumed. If no date is explicitly specified, the current date is assumed.
The system will also check if the date and time specified in TKXL is not set up after the departure date and time of the first air segment. The check takes into account the time difference between the city of the TKXL target office and the city of departure of the first air segment.
In web-services TKXL can be specified in PNR_AddMultiElements verb. |

If you are using an automatically calculated time in TKXL, please be aware that this new enhancement means that the end of transaction may fail when TKXL time is later than the departure time of the first segment. Therefore, you will need to adapt your tools to comply with the new check. |
|
Thanks to this new enhancement, users will be soon entitled to create a TKXL element with a time up to 5 minutes from the current local time. If a user tries to create a TKXL with a time less than 5 minutes from the current local time, the system will return following error message: “INVALID TIME”.
Also at end of transaction time, the system will check if the date and time specified in TKXL is later than the departure date and time of the first air segment. The check takes into account the time difference between the city of the TKXL target office and the city of departure of the first air segment. In case the time specified in TKXL is later than the departure time of the first air segment, the system will return following error message: “INVALID TICKETING DATE” in cryptic and in API/WBS channels. |
